Church Family,

I want to begin this month by sharing something that deeply encouraged me.

This past Tuesday evening at The Grove, our weekly gathering for young adults, seventeen young adults followed the Lord in believer’s baptism. One by one, they stepped into the water and publicly declared that they belong to Jesus Christ.

What a powerful testimony.

Moments like that remind us why we do what we do. The gospel is still changing lives. Jesus is still saving people. And the Church is still God’s plan for reaching the world.

Believer's baptisms at The Grove, Champion Forest young adults gathering The Grove summer kickoff baptisms, May 19, 2026

I am so grateful for what the Lord is doing through The Grove. Young adults are gathering in community, opening God’s Word, worshiping together, and taking real steps of faith. These seventeen baptisms are a reminder that God is moving among us right now.

Would you join me in praying for these young adults as they continue to grow as disciples? Pray also for the leaders and volunteers who serve so faithfully at The Grove. And if you know a young adult who needs community, truth, and encouragement, invite them. A simple invitation can make an eternal difference.

America 250 Celebration

On Wednesday, July 1, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the FLC Worship Center, we will gather for our America 250 Celebration as we mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We are excited to welcome back our friend Robert J. Morgan, who will help us reflect on the way Scripture has shaped key moments in our nation’s history through his book 100 Bible Verses That Made America.

No registration is required. Food trucks will be on site so you can enjoy dinner with friends and neighbors. Bring your family, invite a friend, and make plans to join us.

Summertime Giving & Financial Update

This Sunday marks the beginning of our Summertime Giving emphasis—Memorial Day through Labor Day, sixteen weeks when we encourage you to stay consistent in your giving, even when summer travel takes you out of town. We know many of you will be away, and we are grateful for every sacrificial gift that helps us keep making disciples, loving our community, and strengthening the Church. Throughout the summer, we will highlight special ways your generosity is making a difference each week.

For our church members, our quarterly financial report is also now available in the member portal. Thank you for your continued generosity. Every gift matters, and your faithfulness helps us continue the mission God has given us.

Members can view the report at rock.cfbc.org/meeting by logging in with their CFBC account.

Church family, I am grateful for you. Let’s keep moving forward together as we make disciples, love our community, and strengthen the Church.
