Church Family,

What a week it has been at Champion Forest! We just wrapped up our Resilience conference, and I am so thankful for the opportunity to host pastors and ministry leaders from around the country. Strengthening the Church is one of our focus priorities, and it was a privilege to spend these days seeking the Lord together and encouraging those who serve His Church.

I am grateful for our friends at Strategic Renewal and the time they have spent with us this week. Two of their team will help us lead services of prayer and praise at both of our campuses this weekend. I hope you will make plans to join us as we seek the Lord together.

This semester has been all about deepening our prayer lives and our walks with the Lord. As we have studied the prayer life of Jesus, my desire is that we would grow in our own time alone with Him. I want to encourage you to keep making time each day to be in God’s Word and to pray. Ask the Lord to continue what He is teaching you through this season.

I also have some exciting news to share. We passed our fire marshal inspection, and the grand reopening of our Champions Campus Worship Center will be Sunday, November 1! Thank you for being so joyfully flexible during these months of NEXT Flex in the Family Life Center. Your patience and generosity have helped us get to this day, and I cannot wait for us to worship together in the renovated Worship Center.

That same Sunday, we will have a Baptism Celebration at both our Champions and North Klein campuses. If you have trusted Jesus as your Savior and have not yet followed Him in believer’s baptism, this is a wonderful opportunity to take that step. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ. Our team would love to answer your questions and help you get ready. Click here to schedule your baptism.

We will also begin our new series, Holy Fire, on November 1. Together we will consider what it means to encounter the holy presence of God, not as a distant idea, but as living fire that awakens awe, purifies our hearts, and strengthens our walk with Christ. If you have felt spiritually dry or ready for a fresh encounter with the Lord, I want to invite you to join us. Please mark your calendar and invite someone to come with you. I am looking forward to what the Lord will teach us in the weeks ahead.

There are also some great opportunities to invite your family and neighbors this fall: our Fall Festival at North Klein, and our Christmas Tree Lighting at Champions. You will find more information below.

I love you, Champion Forest, and am honored to serve as your pastor. Thank you for your faithfulness as we make disciples, love our community, and strengthen the Church. Please keep praying for all the Lord has ahead for us!
