A new ministry season is here!
I am so excited about the Fall and believe it is going to be an incredible time of spiritual growth for us as a faith family. We have so much to be thankful for, and I am looking forward to what God is going to do in and through us over the next several months.
Thank you for allowing me time out of the pulpit the last few weeks. I am excited to be back this weekend and am eager to kick off our brand-new series next weekend: Pray Like Jesus. Beginning August 16, we’re going to take seven weeks to explore the prayer life of Jesus. If you’ve ever wanted to grow in your time alone with God and experience a greater intimacy with Him, this series is for you!
This Sunday evening is our Summit, our annual training night for ministry leaders. We could not do what we do without the people who serve so faithfully across our church. Kickoff Sunday is August 16. This is the perfect time to get involved in a Life Group as our kids and students move into their new respective age groups. Scroll down for more info.
Midweek returns across three Wednesdays this month, and The Grove is back for young adults on September 1. And ladies, make sure you mark your calendars for our Beloved event just for you coming up in September. You will find details about each of these opportunities below.

Summit is the one night each year when leaders from across Champion Forest gather for vision, training, and encouragement as we head into the fall. Sunday, August 9 at 4:30 p.m. in the FLC Worship Center at our Champions Campus.
Leaders from both campuses are encouraged to join us: Kids, Students, Adult Life Group leaders, and our Guest Services team. We could not do what we do without you.
Midweek starts with our students. Student MDWK kicks off Wednesday, August 12, at both campuses for 6th–12th graders. Expect worship, teaching, small groups, and a welcoming environment where students can build real friendships. Parents, this is one of the best rhythms you can build into your student’s week.
A brand-new season of Life Groups begins, and our kids and students move up to their new age levels. It is also the Sunday we begin Pray Like Jesus. If you have been waiting for the right moment to get connected, this is it. Everyone is starting fresh together, so there is no better week to walk into a room for the first time.
August 19: Night of Worship & Prayer at each campus. We will gather to pray and worship together, and we will ordain new deacons and pastors.
August 26: The full Midweek lineup begins: Merge, Re|Engage, support groups, Financial Peace University, men’s and women’s Bible studies, Choir, and much more.

Our weekly worship gathering for young adults is back on Tuesday, September 1, at the Champions Campus. Worship, teaching, and real community with people in the same season of life. If you know a young adult who needs to be in a room like this one, invite them. A simple invitation can make an eternal difference.
Beloved Women’s Night is Thursday, September 24, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at our North Klein Campus. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Join us for powerful worship with the CF Women’s Praise Team, fellowship, a special gift, and two sessions with Bible teacher Lisa Harper. The evening will also include a special announcement about what is next for CF Women’s Discipleship. $30 online / $40 at the door.
Champion Forest is hosting Resilience, a three-day prayer and renewal conference from Strategic Renewal. Although ministry leaders from around the country will attend, the conference is open to everyone. Expect expository teaching, corporate prayer, and practical encouragement, with plenary speakers including Pastor Jarrett, Alistair Begg, and H.B. Charles Jr., plus musical guests Shane & Shane. Simultaneous Spanish translation in all main sessions.
