I hope you are having a wonderful start to February. As I reflect on this past weekend, my heart is full of gratitude for what God is doing in and through Champion Forest.

We witnessed something truly special during our Student Ministry's Freedom Weekend. Over 1,200 students gathered for a weekend of prayer, worship, and hearing God's Word proclaimed. But here's what has me most excited - we baptized 33 students on Sunday, and more are being baptized this week! These young men and women made public declarations of their faith in Jesus Christ, and it was a powerful reminder that we are accomplishing the mission of passing the baton of faith to the next generation.

I want to take a moment to honor our Student Ministry team and all who volunteered their time to serve at Freedom. Your dedication and gospel-centered leadership are making an eternal difference in the lives of our students. Thank you!

Our desire is simple but profound: we want to be a church that reaches from Northwest Houston to the world. This isn't just a slogan - it's our calling. God has positioned us strategically in this community, and we believe He wants to use us to make disciples right here in our neighborhoods and all the way to the ends of the earth. The five initiatives shared through NEXT will help us do just this.

As we move forward with this vision, I want to invite you to join us this Saturday for our First Saturday Prayer gathering. We'll meet from 8:00-9:00am in the Chapel at our Champions campus. This is a wonderful time for us to seek the Lord together, pray for our church, and ask God to continue moving in powerful ways. I'd love to see you there.
