About This Sermon
Jarrett Stephens teaches from Nehemiah 1:1-11 to open the NEXT series. He shows how God's providence is the true main character of the story, weaving together centuries of history to place Nehemiah as cupbearer to the Persian king at exactly the right moment. Jarrett also highlights Nehemiah's posture: a man in a position of comfort whose heart broke for the people behind the broken walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah wept, fasted, and prayed for four months before taking any action.
