About This Sermon
Jarrett Stephens teaches from Nehemiah 2–3, showing how faith moves from burden to action. Nehemiah spent four months praying and planning before making his bold request to King Artaxerxes. When the moment came, he asked for extended leave, permission to rebuild a banned project, safe passage, and royal financing, and the king granted it because the good hand of God was upon him.
In Jerusalem, Nehemiah inspected the broken walls by night, then rallied over fifty families to work together. Opposition came from Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, but Nehemiah refused to let cynics determine the outcome. The message calls us to do what we can do, trust God for what only He can do, and step forward in faith when He opens the door.
