In Psalm 29, David extols God’s absolute greatness and majesty! He is all powerful and his people are encouraged to ascribe to the Lord all the glory due him. His very voice is over the waters and shakes the wilderness.
God is described in incredible ways to provoke awe and wonder at his greatness!
It is overwhelming to consider the fact that human beings can have the privilege to know and worship this wonderful and amazing God! But David also recognizes that this great and all-powerful God has care and compassion for his people and will strengthen and bless them with his perfect peace.
Psalm 29
Ascribe to the Lord Glory
A Psalm of David.
1 Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf,
and Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth
and strips the forests bare,
and in his temple all cry, “Glory!”
10 The Lord sits enthroned over the flood;
the Lord sits enthroned as king forever.
11 May the Lord give strength to his people!
May the Lord bless his people with peace!

Heavenly Father, there is no one like you! You are high and lifted up and you name is great!
I worship you and give to you all of the glory that you deserve. My God, you are holy and supreme in heaven, and over all creation, and may my lips always praise you.

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are indeed Great and greatly to be praised. You are high and lifted up. Just the sound of your voice caused the earth to form and the planets and stars to take their place. Yet the very touch of your hand can calm an anxious spirit or heal an aching heart. Dear, Lord. I ask for Your Grace, Mercy and Protection over our lives and Your All knowing Guidance through these difficult times. You are supreme over all and only You can save our land. Thank You for the love and care You have shown me through all of my life. I owe everything to You and I will always give praise and honor to your name…the sweet name of Jesus. Amen.

I honor Your name today with great praise and stand in awe at the wonder and splendor of Your hand. When I stand at the ocean’s edge, I’m totally overwhelmed by its vastness. When I look up at the mountains, I’m completely captivated by their beauty. I’m surrounded with the glory of Your hand. How incredible!
Your voice echoes and thunders.
It’s powerful and majestic.
It splits, shatters, shakes, twists, and strips, and it speaks over me, bringing strength to my weakness and peace to my chaos.
May my lips never stop praising You, Lord!

Lord, You sit enthroned as king forever, yet you knit me together in my mother’s womb & know the hairs on my head. Your voice can break cedars & shake the wilderness and yet speak into my heart. Who am I that you are mindful of me, yet You are.
As David asks You to bless Your people with strength & peace , so do I. Help us to know Your truth and walk in obedience to Your great & might Name.

The voice of the Lord spoke with power when he created the heavens and the earth. His voice speaks his word to us in the Scriptures. He speaks, and one can thwart his purpose. He speaks, and it is accomplished!

Thank You, Jesus, that there is no one more powerful than You. The fact that You sit enthroned above the flood gives me such confidence.

Lord God, thank you that You are in control of everything you have created. Thank you for the gift of a voice and a heart to praise you. Thank you that there is none like You. Thank you for Your love, Your mercy, Your peace and Your forgiveness. Help me never to miss a moment to praise You for who You are.
The last verse says “may the Lord bless us with peace”. Father we all need your peace today. Is. 26 :3 promises that if we focus on him he will keep us in perfect peace. Thank you so much Lord, my focus will be on you!!
Lord, you have given us everlasting life. You have given us love. You are the most high.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty! How Great is our God! All the earth is filled with you Glory!
Heavenly Father, Praises and Glory is due to You! How Majestic is Your name in all the earth! You are the King of kings , I worship You alone! You have heard my cry, I thank You. For the many blessings for the week including the peace in my heart, I’m so grateful, I love You Lord!
Heavenly Father,

I thank you dear Lord that you were with me today in my knee surgery. That although you are the God over everything and everyone you love me. Someone who is so unworthy of your love. I was not alone in my surgery. I am not alone today. Because you will never leave me and never forsake me you will always be with me when I cry out you hear me when I need someone here with me, you are here. You always provide and protect me and I thank you.
