The Supremacy of God’s Son

1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

      I was reminded after reading this passage that, His work didn’t stop at His ascension to the right hand of The Father. He didn’t turn his back on humanity, nor is he just chilling out up in Heaven. He is alive and active, always working, constantly interceding for us, going before the Father on our behalf.

  7. Thank you Jesus for your majesty and your humility to go to the cross on behalf of sinners like me. Your Name is above every name in heaven and on earth.

  8. God has spoken to us in His Son, Jesus Christ. – Jesus, our perfect Savior and our Lord, is God , very God the Son , God’s final and complete revelation of Himself. He is the Word who spoke the world into existence and holds everything together. Enthroned in heaven at God’s right hand after purchasing our eternal redemption, He rules from heaven. He is worthy- worthy of our total trust and complete obedience and worship- worthy of my life, my all.

  9. Lord Jesus I am just a vapor You are The Radiance of the Glory of God. My life is but a blink of the eye. You are everlasting. Thank you for being my gift to everlasting. I pray You open the eyes of my family members who don’t know You. So they too can bow before You in humble adoration instead of feeling condemned forever. I praise You Lord for what You are doing in Jesus Name Amen.

  15. How can my tiny mind wrap itself around the awesome picture of Jesus sitting down on His throne on the right hand side of God?!
    And this is after He left His throne and came to Earth to make Himself a sacrifice for me?
    No words to adequately describe it!!

  16. His position and glory, as the radiance of God, are incomprehensible. Through Him God made all things. Yet He left all this to step down and become a sacrifice so we could have forgiveness of our sins, which were against Him? Still more incomprehensible, and completely wonderful.

  18. In the last days; now, today, before in the O.T. GOD spoke through our forefathers, Moses, Angels, but “now, today” GOD HIMSELF speaks to us through HIS SON, WHO is the full deity of GOD. HE is the ONE Who has provided purification for us from the sin & death; and HE’s the ONE WHO is carrying us through the ages along toward GOD’s end. There’s no comparison whether Angels, Mohamed, Mahatma; JESUS is Much Superior & the Only Wise GOD. To HIM be glory; in JESUS, GOD is present, in JESUS, we come to know GOD. Thank you for this Bible reading today. A great reminder that the Bible is GOD’s revelation to us (me). Daily reading is an essential.

  19. Thankful for this reminder that NO MATTER WHAT, Jesus has been, is now, and forever will be the above everything. He is the center of our universe. Not the sun, but the SON. Hallelujah!
