About This Sermon
Jarrett Stephens teaches from Luke 23 and Matthew 27 in the final message of the Pray Like Jesus series. He examines the three prayers Jesus spoke from the cross: asking forgiveness for his executioners, crying out in anguish when God seemed silent, and entrusting his spirit to the Father.
Jarrett shows that Jesus prayed with intimacy even in agony, interceded for others rather than himself, and quoted Scripture when suffering was greatest. Each prayer becomes a pattern for believers: forgive those who hurt you, keep crying out to God when he seems silent, and entrust your life to the Father daily.
Scripture: Luke 23:33-34; Matthew 27:45-46; Luke 23:44-46; Psalms 22; Psalms 31:5; Hebrews 9:22; Hebrews 5:7; Matthew 6:12
