About This Sermon
Jarrett Stephens teaches from Jude 22-23, Luke 19:10, John 3:16, and Luke 15 on fighting for the lost. The Christian life is a battle, and believers are called to go behind enemy lines to rescue people who do not know Jesus. Three billion people have never heard His name, and 560,000 live within a 20-mile radius of the church.
Jarrett gives three practical ways to fight for the lost: pray for them by name, plant seeds of the gospel through genuine unconditional love, and plead with urgency for them to be reconciled to God. He shares stories of his brother Eric's salvation after 17 years of prayer, Rosaria Butterfield's conversion through hospitality, and Desmond Doss repeatedly praying "God, give me one more" while rescuing soldiers. The lost matter deeply to God, and they must matter deeply to us.
Scripture: Jude 1:22-23; Luke 19:10; John 3:16; Luke 15; 2 Timothy 2; Revelation 21:8; 2 Peter 3:9; John 20:21
