Philippians 4:2-9

Exhortation, Encouragement, and Prayer

I entreat Euodia and I entreat Syntyche to agree in the Lord. Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, who have labored side by side with me in the gospel together with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

  1. this is such a lovely meaningful scripture.
Thank you , Lord Jesus. The words sound so small compared to the great sacrifice that you made for me. I love you, LORD. Please help me be more like you every day. Even so , come quickly, Lord Jesus.
Our fallen world needs you so badly. I praise your name and am so grateful for your continued blessings and protection. Amen.

  2. Praise the LORD for his peace and comfort. Rejoice the the LORD as Paul says because God is always present in our lives from morning to morning. New mercies come each new day. Amen

  3. Father,

May we rejoice for we know Sunday is coming.

May we work knowing your son will return.

Oh LORD, bless us indeed, enlarge our territory.
May your hand be with us.
    Help us to avoid evil,
So as to not cause pain.

    Amen.

  4. Thank You for Your encouraging word, Lord, that is true for all time and for all people and perfect for today. We can always rejoice in You our great Redeemer, and we have such assurance knowing You are as close as our right hand so there’s no need to be anxious and worried., but we are to take it all to You in prayer, with thanksgiving. Then You settle our hearts and minds in Your peace .
We are to fill our hearts and minds with Your life giving word and think on those things to order our thinking accordingly and we will be walking with You, our God of peace.
This is Your reminder to me every day. How I need You!

  5. Dear Heavenly Father,
Yes, let us always be thinking of uplifting , noble
and positive things . There is too much negativity in the world. Lift your eyes to the Lord and rejoice. Let us all enter his gates with only thanksgiving and praise. And let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, surround your hearts and minds and give us peace. Amen.
