Thank you for joining us on this 100-day journey through the Bible. We’re at the finish line!

Now that we’re through day 100, we’ll be pushing pause on daily emails from CFBC, but we highly encourage you to ask the Lord where he wants you to go next in His Word. Should we begin a new plan in the future, you will be notified via email. God bless.

Luke 9:18-27

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ

18 Now it happened that as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him. And he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?” 19 And they answered, “John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.” 20 Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”

Jesus Foretells His Death

21 And he strictly charged and commanded them to tell this to no one, 22 saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised.”

Take Up Your Cross and Follow Jesus

23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself? 26 For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when he comes in his glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”

  1. Praise God. We know who Jesus is and what He did on the cross for us. He told His followers not tell anyone on that day. But now He ask we tell everyone who He is. Tell everyone!!!!!

    2. Hallelujah and Praise the Lord. He is the living King. Amen💜🙌🏻🙏🏻✝

  2. Amen. Thank you Lord for this time in which we read Your Word and prayed together. And yes we know You and now is the time to tell others that You are Christ Jesus. The son of the living God! Amen and Hallelujah!

  3. Such a restless sleep last night… It was like I was reading a book with many chapters loaded with stories of a Father’s sacrifices… Stories of a book, but read in such a way that the children loved it, but learning later on in their life…that they didn’t love it, they loved their Father who was spending His life reading it to them…

So many bits and pieces of Dad’s sacrifices… The last of which the kids in the boat wanted Dad to capture “that eel, that one right their!” He reached down His hand and grabbed it! It nearly killed Him… It was so painful…and He was down for 3 days. He miraculously recovered!

Father, Thankyou so much for Your Word… How You’ve made these last 100 days of reading Your Bible come alive in ways we’ve never heard before! Your Word is fresh to us each time we read it. Thankyou for all the times You’ve sacrificed for us, Your flock, Your sheep and Your children… How painful and agonizing that must have been to realize that Your Son Jesus was the only way… Oh help me do more Father…

    Amen

…and thank all of you for your comments over these last 100 days – They have meant so much to us…

  4. Heavenly Father,

As this day unfolds, may I sing praises to your name.

Thank you, Father, for another day to serve you and others.

What little things can I do or say that will help those who cross my path? May I be aware of each and how much you love them.

Help me, Father, seek little acts of service for you. Today, may I be your hands to help, your arms to hug, your words to sooth.

May I not be a stumbling block. Help me to check my spirit. Father, you are so patient with me, help me to be patient with others.

Fill me anew and afresh with your Holy Spirit. Together, LORD, let’s be going and serving and helping and sharing your love. Get ready world, here we come.

Always in the name of Jesus Christ,

    Amen.

    1. Amen. This is my daily prayer and thanks so much. This is why we are here to share the Good News and let others see the Jesus in us.

  5. Always a feeling of sorrow as I think about those who have heard the wonderful story of His sacrifice and His offer of the gift of salvation…but choose to ignore or not believe that it is true.
I want to be ready with my testimony!

  6. This has been great series of scripture reading about Jesus – his coming, his earthly story and his return The story tells about his great sacrifice to redeem us and our hope by trusting in him

  7. Jesus said “ who do you think I am”? Salvation hinges on this answer. Ask God who Jesus is and He will tell you.

  8. I am not ashamed of who Christ is. I will shout his name and praise him daily. I am so glad that he died for my sins and then raise from the dead to pay the penalty for our sins.

He is risen, he is risen in deed.

    Thank you Lord.

  9. I have enjoyed reading these daily passages with everyone. It’s been a wonderful way to start each day and focus on what is important.

  10. The crowds gave their review of Who JESUS is, but Peter gave his own view of Who JESUS is; “the CHRIST of GOD,” JESUS proved HIMSELF to be the Source for the peoples’ needs. All that the disciples saw strengthened their faith for Peter’s confession. The more we give, the more GOD gives to us. This is how generosity works. I will keep on proclaiming “JESUS” is the Messiah, the SON of the Living GOD. HE is RISEN indeed. To follow JESUS means to submit to HIS Authority daily, it’s a clear pic of HIS crucifixion. To GOD be all glory. By faith I made an intelligent decision to follow JESUS 42 yrs. ago, HE is my “all” SOURCE in every situation. Thank you for inviting me to pray, praise, & proclaim JESUS w/you (my family in CHRIST). I’ve read the entire Bible many, many times for almost 30 yrs. I won’t stop now. GOD’s blessings on CFBC staff & family.

  11. These last 100 days have been filled with God’s truth about himself and His son, Jesus.

Thanks so much for this program that has gotten more of our members into God’s Word daily.
God bless everyone who provided this program.

  12. I so enjoyed this 100 day ride. Thank you so much for bringing us together in this study. It was like a refreshing look at events we have been taught over the years. Bringing it back to the front of our minds just who the Lord God is and what he went through and did for us. Thank you so much.

  13. Thank you… I have looked forward to reading God’s word in community.

Lord, help me discern my idols so I may take my eyes off of those storms, escape those deserts, and always focus on YOU. YOU are the way, the truth, and the life!

  14. Thank you Lord for being the Christ, the Savior of this world. Thank you for a church family that teaches true doctrine of Gods word. Thank you for these devotionals the last 100 days and don’t let it stop here but encourage us to continue reading and gaing insight of who you are. Help us to be truly obedient to this mighty word of God.

    Be blessed church
