John 3:1-21

You Must Be Born Again

Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” 10 Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

For God So Loved the World

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

    1. Lord thank you for your light so that we may see. Hallelujah and Praise the everlasting Lord. Amen✝🙏🏻💜🙌🏻

  1. Blessings to our Lord and Savior, the Creator of heaven and earth. Who’s kingdom come. Who’s will be done. I praise Your Holy Name Jesus. The light of the world. Come Lord Jesus come. Amen

  2. Dear King Jesus
Help me to be a shining light and a good witness for you.
    Amen

  3. I heard somewhere this statement; born once, die twice; but if you’re born twice, you die only once. Jesus mentioned in verse 5 of being born of water & Spirit; when a mother’s water breaks, it the mark of an infant coming into the world, but when you are born of the Spirit, you are being born into GOD’s Kingdom. John 3:16 is the “Great Promise of GOD; “whosoever” (me) trust myself to the SON of GOD, I will have eternal life. Faith in JESUS releases me from death & brings me life. Happy Resurrection Sunday. To the Only Wise GOD be glory forever & ever. Amen!!!

  4. Heavenly Father,

I am so thankful for you, O LORD. During this in-between day, you are mindful of even me.

You are the creator of the universe all powerful, all knowing, and all caring.

You did not have to let you only son die. You could have written off humans, washed your hands of all of us. You could have cried, ‘Enough is Enough’. Jesus, come home now.’

Jesus, you could have come down from the cross. You could have called heaven’s angels for protection in the garden. Jesus, you could have stood tall in the presence of all those religious and secular leaders. But, LORD Jesus, you cared for even me.

During this in-between day, in-between the cross and the resurrection, I bow before your throne, O LORD. I bow asking for forgiveness and new life.

Jesus, you are my scapegoat, my redeemer, my savior.

Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Father,

I am unworthy to be forgiven. I am unworthy to be adopted into your kingdom of God. I am unworthy to be called a child of the Living God.

Not because of me, but because of the Son of God, my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Hallelujah. I am saved. Hallelujah. I am saved. Hallelujah. I am saved for every more.

Now, let’s be going and doing and calling out and sharing the good news: Jesus is alive.

For it is in the name of Jesus Christ I pray,

    Amen.

  5. Our religion doesn’t save us but our relationship does. God saves all people by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

  6. Oh Father, thank You for opening my eyes and recuing me.

Jesus, I just can’t comprehend why You would sacrifice Yourself as the Lamb of God to “save a wretch like me.” My limited human mind can not understand that kind of love… When I fall asleep or am raptured, perhaps I will…

Jesus, thank You for finishing the race…

    Amen

  7. Praise the Lord!
    It is Finished!
    HE is Risen!
    He is Alive!
    Living in Me!
    Celebrate Easter everyday!

  8. Born of the water is through BAPTISM. Please read l Peter 3:20-21 and Romans 6:3-5. Read the conversions in Acts. What was the answers to each when they asked, “What must I do?” It is not the water but the act of obedience. Even without sin, Jesus submitted to immersion baptism to “fulfill all righteousness”

  9. So sad that the Truth that is told in verse 16 is very clear and so many that have heard it have chosen to ignore it.
I want to be a witness to that Truth, such that people will want to hear it again and believe that it is true.
