Mark 1:29-39

Jesus Heals Many

29 And immediately he left the synagogue and entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon’s mother-in-law lay ill with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. 31 And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and the fever left her, and she began to serve them.

32 That evening at sundown they brought to him all who were sick or oppressed by demons. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. And he would not permit the demons to speak, because they knew him.

Jesus Preaches in Galilee

35 And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. 36 And Simon and those who were with him searched for him, 37 and they found him and said to him, “Everyone is looking for you.” 38 And he said to them, “Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out.” 39 And he went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.

    1. Gracias Padre amado por venir por nosotros los pecadores gracias por sanar nuestras enfermedades gracias por tu amor gracias por existir en mi vida

  1. Jesus came to inform, heal, and save. When he returns, he will come for His flock. Be ready!!!

  2. Often the bible tells us that Jesus went out to a desolate place to be by himself and pray.
If it was good enough for Him, ought we not to do the same.
Help me Lord God to know what is important and what is not.

    1. Thank you Jesus for showing us the importance of prayer. Guide us Holy Spirit in what to pray for. As it’s been said show us what’s important and what’s not. Thank you Jesus for listening. Remember Father and take action on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus Name Amen.

    2. Thank you Lord for answering my prayers. I make time for you Lord everyday to pray and to worship you. You are my salvation Lord. I am ready for you Lord for when you return. Hallelujah and Amen 🙏🏻✝🙏🏻✝💜💜🙌🏻🙌🏻

  3. Father, thankyou for showing us the importance of finding that quiet place where we can be alone with you…unencumbered by the perplexities of life… And thankyou for your word and unending faithfulness that support/encourage us to move out of our comfort zone and intentionally seek the lost. Amen

  4. JESUS worked all day into the evening healing the towns people, I didn’t read where any of them repented. JESUS got up early the next morning & went to a deserted place to pray (to speak w/HIS FATHER) away from distraction; we also need uninterrupted time when we’re praying to our FATHER. HIS disciples were looking for HIM because there were more people that needed healing, but JESUS said let’s go to the neighboring village so that HE could preach there too. HE came to preach the Good News & prepare people for GOD’s Kingdom, not to please the crowd w/miracles. Thank YOU LORD for the Good News of YOUR saving grace.

  5. Help us, O Lord, to share the Gospel message in the power of the Holy Spirit with others!
And to clearly explain to them about repentance of sin and being born again. Turning in a different direction and obeying the commandments of God. Living a life that brings honor and glory to our Lord and Savior as we are equipped to enjoy peace with God.

  6. How many people saw miracles that day but did not repent and believe in the Miracle Worker? The results of witnessing are not something we can control…..being called to witness and testify defines our purpose.

  7. Jesus preached, healed, delivered in those towns and they received His healing, but said nothing about repenting. We are witnessing today the same environment of hearing Gods word but not seeing any repentance and turning away from sin. Our world needs us Christians to preach Gods word boldly so sinners can turn from sin and be saved.

Our youth need to see the word living in our daily lives and know Jesus still work miracles.

    Be blessed church .

  8. Jesus Heals Many

Leaving the synagogue does not end Jesus ministry for the day. Upon arriving at Simon and Andrew’s house, it was brought to his attention that Simon’s mother-in-law was sick with a fever.

We too must tell Jesus about the sick helpless condition of others, so that Jesus can do only what Jesus does, “touch and heal.” God did not make us to be sick vessels. He made us to be fruitful. We can’t do that if we are sick.
So, as soon as Jesus healed Simon’s mother-in-law, she got up and served them.

Many come to Jesus to be healed, but not all will be healed. Some wants to keep some portion of the sickness with them because it is beneficial to them. We want what Jesus can do for us, but we don’t want to give up our status or position, our pride or ego. Some are just not willing to sell out and follow what is right.

Jesus stated his purpose for coming, to preach and drive out demons, setting us free to follow him.

So my prayer is this, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and
know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Ps 139:23-23 KJV)

  9. Thank you Lord for showing us the way, the truth and the light. May we always follow you , the only true way to everlasting life. Amen.
