Giving
The ministry of CFBC is funded by God's provision through the tithes and offerings of our faithful church family. Click Here to Give Back ⇡Your Bank's Online Bill-Pay Service
Setting up Online Bill Pay is an easy process. While every bank is different, the majority of banks have a “Payments” tab to click on. Then click “pay bills” or “add payee.” Next, you will simply enter Champion Forest Baptist Church’s information. Our address is 15555 Stuebner Airline, Houston, TX 77069. Once you have entered that information, you can either give your gift by using the pay bill option (usually this is a one time payment) or the repeating payment option. If you have any trouble, the FAQ section of the bank’s website typically has helpful instructions.
Back ⇡In Person
Every Sunday, we pass offering baskets during worship services. Alternately, you can drop your gifts in the donations box near the Champions campus FLC entrance or by the CFBC office of the Champions campus during regular office hours.
Back ⇡Automatic Drafts
ACH (Automated Clearing House) contributions are an easy way to give to the church. They are transactions scheduled to automatically transfer funds from your banking account to the church’s banking account.
You can set up ACH contributions at any time through our processing partner PushPay. To setup PushPay, please go to THIS PAGE and select your campus.
Stock Contributions
There are three ways to contribute stock and mutual funds to the church. One, you request a transfer through your broker that a certain number of shares be transferred directly into the church's brokerage account. Two, you have in your possession a certificate in your name. Three, you have arranged through your broker to have stock put in the church's name. The steps to be taken to complete the contribution are similar. The following describe the steps to be taken in each instance:
- Transfer of Stock and Mutual Funds From Donor's Broker Directly to CFBC's Broker: This can be done without coming into The Administration Office. All you will need to do is complete the attached "Letter of Authorization - Stock Transfer" form and fax it or mail it to your broker. Be sure to fax or mail a copy to the Administration Office of Champion Forest Baptist Church. Without notification to us, we will be unable to identify the donor of the stock received. [Fax: (281) 440-5316 0r by mail: 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069] Once the stock reaches the church's account, the Administration Office will mail the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the stock or mutual fund was received in our account.
- Certificate Held in Donor's Name: The donor will need to complete a "Third Party Release" form that the Administration office will provide and it must be signed in the presence of a notary. This can be done at the church Office. Please call ahead and arrange for a time. We can fill in all of the Information required before you arrive and it should take only a few minutes To complete the signing and notarization of the form, and the stock Certificate in the presence of the notary. Do NOT fill out any of the information on the certificate until you reach the office. The Administration Office will provide the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the newly designated stock is received by the church office.
- Certificate that has been put in the name of the church: Donor needs only to bring or mail their stock certificate to the church Administration office, accompanied by a "Donation Description" letter describing the gift (number of shares and stock name) and signed by the donor. (The Administration Office can provide a form to aid in preparing this, however that is not necessary if you follow the directions in the sentence above.) The Administration Office will mail the donor a letter acknowledging the contribution of the stock as of the date the stock certificate is received.
Because the contribution of stock or mutual funds is a non-cash contribution, the amount received will not appear on the donor's giving record. A letter will be mailed to the donor confirming the gift. This letter is for your records and is to be used as confirmation of the gift as support for federal tax purposes. By law, the church may not place a value on the stock. A record should be kept by the donor, of the value of the stock on the day noted on the church letter.
Back ⇡Giving Directly From Your IRA
Individuals who are required to receive Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) from their IRA account(s) may direct all or a portion of their annual RMD to be sent directly to the church by contacting the Administrator of the IRA account(s). If you are more than 70 ½ years of age, it may be possible for the direct payment to exceed the RMD amount, but not more than $100,000 per year. Contact your IRA Administrator for information they require to make the direct distribution payment to the church.
