About This Sermon
Jarrett Stephens teaches from Matthew 28 and Acts 1 to conclude the series "So What: Why the Resurrection Matters." The resurrection is not only the greatest event in history, it commissions every believer to mission. Jesus sends his followers with three gifts: his presence, his power, and his promise.
Jarrett uses the peanut butter and jelly illustration to show how Christ's authority and presence work together. He tells the story of D.L. Moody, reached by an ordinary Sunday school teacher, to show what God can do through simple witness. He also shares how Hope Fellowship Church in Boston grew through the Spirit's power in regular believers.
