2 Timothy 3:10-17, 4:1-8

All Scripture Is Breathed Out by God

10 You, however, have followed my teaching, my conduct, my aim in life, my faith, my patience, my love, my steadfastness, 11 my persecutions and sufferings that happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, and at Lystra—which persecutions I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. 12 Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Chapter 4

Preach the Word

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

  1. Dear Heavenly Father
May it be said of all of us who believe in
and follow you that we have fought the good fight, finished the race and have kept the faith. This is my prayer. Amen.

  2. Praise our Savior Jesus Christ. Continue in the faith and endure the suffering. God has a plan for each one of us. May you receive a crown of righteousness for walking in the spirit of Jesus.Be gentle to those around you because you don’t know what pain and suffering they are going through.

  3. Gracious Heavenly Father,

Your love for us is so profound that before we were formed you sent your son to die for us.

Your son, Oh LORD, walked about for three years sharing the good news. He did good. He performed so many miracles.

As Christ-followers, how can we be of service today? How can we share the good news with a lost and dying world? May the fruit of the Spirit be evident in all that we do and say.

Father, may you not be ashamed of our words and actions today.

We cannot do this without you, Dear LORD. Please send your Holy Spirit to instruct, to guide, to work in and through us.

May this be our prayer: Here I am, cleanse me, empower me, and use me for your glory.

May your church be faithful to your Son, Jesus Christ.

    Amen.

  4. I will be ready, in season and out of season. I will fight the good fight.

    I BELIEVE!!

  5. How precious is Your word , Lord! You breathed out these words of life to us that teach and guide us, to equip us for every good work, correcting , reproving, and encouraging us to continue to walk in Your truth and love, enduring everything, and to finish well. Thank You for this treasure , this gift of Your love that speaks Your heart to us.

  6. Oh thank you Lord for breathing into Your Word. For breathing into mankind. Keep reminding me to not waste one breath. To keep running the race. In season and out of season. For You are with me. You rob and staff comfort me. Thank You Jesus!

  7. Scripture is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right (v 16).

  8. If we want to know God’s will for our lives, we only have to immerse ourselves in reading his word, and he will reveal his will for lives each day!

  9. Verse 13 while evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived
Does that no describe the world we live in?
May we give praise to the out pouring of the Holy Spirit in our services on Easterv Sunday
