Descriptions of Each Category
Missions
Sharing the Gospel locally, across Texas, America and the world is our passion. We do this by partnering with the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention, supporting international missionaries (IMB) and national church planters (NAMB). These funds support mission partners, mission trips and various mission endeavors as well as the Community Ministry Center at the Church. These funds are in addition to the use of our annual Missions Offering.
Discipleship & Evangelism
These funds support our Kids, Student & Adult Ministries, leading our efforts to connect people with Christ through evangelism and develop them spiritually through discipleship. They also support programs and ministry events across each of these ministries throughout the year.
Worship, Media, and Communications
Leading us to encounter God in worship and communicate our mission internally and externally through the creative arts is accomplished through these funds (includes social media, production, print and audio/visual equipment). Note: the annual Christmas Spectacular is not planned for this budget year.
Pastoral Ministry, Care & Counseling
These funds allow us to minister and care for those in need physically, mentally and emotionally. In addition, they provide resources for the teaching ministries and leadership development of our Ministry Team.
Personnel
This is the cumulative expense (salaries and benefits) for all of the Ministry Team and Support Team members (both full-time and part-time).
Administration, Facilities & Operations
These funds are utilized by the IT, HR, Finance and Facilities Teams to ensure our shared services meet the needs of each of our ministries and campuses. In addition, this area provides resources for our Guest Services and Safety/Medical Teams.
Debt Service Escrow
These funds are set aside for repayment of debt, including the interest expense on the loan related to the Next Generosity Initiative.

For questions, please email Keith Barbour, CFO / Operations, at kbarbour@championforest.org.
Bylaw Affirmation
This vote affirms a change the church already approved on September 21, 2025. Under our bylaws, amendments require a second affirmative vote of at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the Voting Members present and voting. The Committee on Committees recommends that the church affirm the amendment to Section 2.02 of the Bylaws. If approved, the amendment is finally adopted and effective as of October 1, 2026.
As a reminder of the change made last year to Section 2.02 (Statement of Beliefs), here is the last paragraph before and after the amendment:
Before (prior wording)
As an expanded statement of generally held beliefs among Southern Baptist Churches, Champion Forest Baptist Church affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
After (current wording)
As an expanded statement of generally held beliefs among Southern Baptist Churches, Champion Forest Baptist Church affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). As used in these Bylaws and the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) as incorporated into this Section 2.02 by reference, ‘man’ means a biological male, and ‘woman’ means a biological female.
