CFBC is shifting from Orange to Yellow Phase on 8/23.
In-Person Worship Gatherings, and Kids Ministry Resuming 8/23. (Hallelujah!)
Brand New Service Schedule Begins 8/23 for the Champions Campus.
CFBC is moving from Orange Phase to the Yellow Phase. Next Sunday, August 23, you will have the option to worship in-person or worship online.
CURRENT PHASE: YELLOW (beginning 8/23)
To God be the glory! We’ve kept a close eye on the data and the progress being made in our area, which triggers this change in our phases. We can’t wait to gather at each of our four campuses in just 7 days!
What about my kids?
Our Kids Ministry is excited to offer preschool and children’s ministry on Sunday mornings by reservation only during each worship hour. Babies – kinder will have fun learning about Jesus while building, painting, exploring, and playing in their life groups. 1st -5th graders will experience games, Bible study & life group hang outs in our new outdoor Kids Quest adventure.
Space is limited so be sure to visit championforest.org/kids for registration & more information.
New Sunday Schedule – Champions Campus
Please note the newly revised Sunday schedule for the Champions Campus (attached). Our main English service will move to 10:45am, and our main Spanish service will move to 12:15pm. We believe this change will best position us for future growth as we reach our community.
Church family, as you know, these past few months have taught us the importance of daily surrender. What does God have in store for us on the other side of this pandemic?
As we continue to coexist with COVID, know that next Sunday, August 23rd, will mark major progress as we gather in person to celebrate our Lord’s faithfulness. Invite someone into the journey!
Thank you for staying consistent in your generosity. Because of your faithful giving, CFBC is able to stay on mission. You can give through PushPay at championforest.org/give.
After much prayer, counsel, and consideration, CFBC developed a decision making process based on conditions, not arbitrary dates. We will keep you updated as we move through our phases. Thank you for staying with us as we navigate this journey!
As we monitor the regional data from the Texas Medical Center, we’ll have a clear picture of the severity of the virus transmission in our region. Our executive team is in close contact with local officials, medical experts, and other pastors and will seek the Lord in making wise decisions on regathering.
Thank you for staying consistent in your generosity. Because of your faithful giving, CFBC is able to stay on mission. You can give through PushPay at championforest.org/give.
Road to Regathering Update #7. Published June 25, 2020 at 1:00pm
OVERVIEW:
1. COVID Uptick in Our Area. Masks Required 2. Road to Regathering Under Construction 3. Video Update from Pastor Stephen Trammell
1. COVID Uptick in Our Area. Masks Required
God is working in the midst of COVID and He is stretching our faith. In this season, we have learned the value of being flexible. Thank you for staying adaptive and connected.
Because of the uptick in COVID cases in our area, we are doing everything we can to keep our campuses safe environments for in person worship. Please help us Sunday by maintaining 6 feet of social distance, and wearing masks.
We are in close contact with medical professionals and local officials, and your health and safety are our top priority.
Of course, thousands of you are continuing to connect every Sunday online in worship. If you’re not ready to come back, we encourage you to join us as each campus continues live online. Click here to see your campus’s times and ways to watch.
Thank you for staying consistent in your generosity. Because of your faithful giving, CFBC is able to stay on mission. If you’re unable to join us in person, you can give through PushPay at championforest.org/give.
2. Road to Regathering Under Construction
Our Road to Regathering is “under construction”. What this means is that while we continue to worship in person and online, any of the other on-campus programs, groups, and activities that were scheduled to roll out in July are on hold.
Church, these are unprecedented days. Let’s take heart, remain faithful and stay diligent to all God has called us to. You are loved and valued. Let’s continue walking in the light that God gives us and invite others into the journey!

FAQs
Q:What safety measures are in place? Your health and safety are our top priority. In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, we are implementing the following measures at each campus:
Staff and Volunteers will be wearing facemasks in common areas.
Everyone, including staff, volunteers, and congregants, will have their temperature taken to ensure no one with a fever (100° or higher) enters the building.
Facilities staff will perform a deep clean of the building between services, including disinfecting every seat in the worship center.
Everyone will maintain 6-feet social distancing throughout the experience.
Congregants will be dismissed from the worship center by row.
Bathrooms will be cleaned regularly throughout the morning.
Hand sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building.
Q: Will I be required to wear a facemask? In accordance with CDC and local health guidelines we are encouraging all congregants to wear masks, especially in common areas.
Q: Is RSVP required? We are highly encouraging RSVP so that we can best prepare for your arrival. If you arrive without an RSVP, we will kindly ask for your contact info at the door. The main reason behind this is to be able to communicate with those who attended a service. Thank you!
Q: Is there anything for my kids? For now, our Sunday services are “Family Worship”, meaning that the whole family is invited to come and sit together. Our kids area and programs are not open yet.
Q: Are the seats assigned? Good question! No, there is not assigned seating, our ushers will guide you and your family to seats maintaining 6 feet of social distance.
Q: Is the 8:15am Traditions Service only for Senior Adults? Yes. We wanted to offer a service only for those who are at risk and our vulnerable population. Much like some stores who are offering earlier opening times for Senior Adults.

Measures to Protect the Ongoing Ministry of the Church
Please watch this video from Pastor Stephen Trammell, and read the below information.
OVERVIEW:
Reopening Date Moved to June 7
Important Lessons Learned this Past Sunday
Measures to Protect the Ongoing Ministry of the Church
– – – – –
1. Reopening Date Moved to June 7
As you know, we originally planned to transition into “Phase Two” on May 31st enabling us to gather for the first time. We have decided to move opening day to Sunday, June 7.
This past Sunday, CFBC staff at all four campuses had full service “rehearsals”. We practiced taking temperatures of all who entered, performed deep cleans of the facilities in between services, ensured the technology worked to stream all four campus’s services online, and practiced social distancing in the Worship Center. It was incredible to finally worship together again as a staff.
The rehearsals acted precisely as they were intended – they helped us find potential areas that needed attention in preparation for our official regathering.
On Tuesday, we got word that one of our praise team members at the Jersey Village campus tested positive for COVID-19. This person spent Sunday morning in the vicinity of most of our JV staff and other volunteers. I have personally talked and prayed with this individual and ask you to join me in prayer for a speedy recovery.
We immediately began working with local officials, the CDC, epidemiologists and other medical professionals to respond appropriately. The Harris County Public Health Department assigned us a specific Team Leader from their Contact Tracing Team whom we have been working with very closely.
Anyone who was within 7 feet of this praise team member for at least 5 minutes on Sunday morning has entered a 14-day quarantine period which involves four of our Jersey Village staff members and 14 volunteers. Because this 14-day quarantine extends through May 31, we will continue church online and move our timeline back one week to June 7 for all four campuses.
3. Measures to Protect the Ongoing Ministry of the Church
In addition to the measures we already had planned (temp check, masks, social distancing, cleaning, etc.), we are putting in place additional layers to avoid disrupting our ongoing ministry.
All staff is divided into two teams and will alternate when each team is on-campus.
Full-time ministry staff capable of FULLY working from home are encouraged to do so.
Staff from each campus will be “firewalled” from any other campus.
Preachers at each campus will keep 7 feet of social distance on Sunday mornings.
