See A Victory

James & Everett Coe

It’s hard to see beyond our own perspective. In the midst of trouble, we usually only see what’s right it front of us, but God is bigger. In the well-known 23rd Psalm, David writes that even in the valley of the shadow of death, he had no need for fear because he knew God was with him. If we follow Jesus, we have victory over this world and it’s trouble. “Take heart,” he says, “for I have overcome the world.” Jesus secured this victory when he defeated the grave.

“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

I John 5 | 4-5

Lyrics

The weapon may be formed, but it won’t prosper
When the darkness falls, it won’t prevail
‘Cause the God I serve knows only how to triumph
My God will never fail
Oh, my God will never fail

I’m gonna see a victory
I’m gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to You, Lord

There’s power in the mighty name of Jesus
Every war He wages He will win
I’m not backing down from any giant
‘Cause I know how this story ends
Yes, I know how this story ends

I’m gonna see a victory
I’m gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to You, Lord

You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good
You turn it for good

I’m gonna see a victory
I’m gonna see a victory
For the battle belongs to You, Lord

You take what the enemy meant for evil
And You turn it for good
You turn it for good
