The hymn Great is Thy Faithfulness was written in 1923 as a simple reminder that our God is always faithful. Each verse of this song contains a reminder of His faithfulness. In the first verse we are reminded that He doesn’t change and He never fails. The second verse describes how the rhythm of the natural world bears witness to his faithfulness. And the third verse declares the faithfulness in the forgiveness of sin and hope for tomorrow in Christ.
Hebrews 10
22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
Consider the steadfast nature of God. When things are changing rapidly in the world around us, we can rest in the reality that we are children of a faithful God who holds our future in His hands. The price for salvation has been paid and that can give us strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow!
