The following is an update from the Pastor Search Committee. 
August 4, 2020

The “publicized notification of the search for candidates” (both internal at Champion Forest Baptist Church and external) for the Senior Pastor Role at CFBC has now officially begun. 
 
In the June 2020 Pastor Search  Committee(PSC) update to CFBC,  we reported that the PSC would  be asking the congregation and staff to take an important Church Survey.  That step has been completed.  In addition, we reported that we would be building an extensive Job Profile for our new Senior Pastor.  That step has also been completed.   
 
So, the PSC, in conjunction with our consultant, Vanderbloemen, is now officially seeking candidates for the Senior Pastor Role at CFBC.

In the coming weeks, candidate names will be received by Vanderbloemen, and screening will be underway, and that process will ultimately yield Vanderbloemen’s recommendation to the Pastor Search Committee of potential candidates.  Please click here to see a flow chart of PSC Key Milestones which describes the entire process to find God’s man to be the new CFBC Senior Pastor.  You will be able to see the numerous steps that have already been completed and the several steps remaining.  You will know how to pray for the PSC by following our progress on this chart as our progress is periodically announced to you in our updates.


 For sure, the PSC and the Vanderbloemen Search Group need the prayers of the congregation and staff.  Please pray specifically for the candidate identification and screening process that is now underway.
