September DBR

Daily Bible Reading (DBR) prepares 1st-5th Graders for what they will learn on Sunday. Your child will discover new and amazing things about God, Jesus and the Bible! Encourage your child to have a journal and write what they learn each day. Set a goal to spend time daily reading the Bible and praying with your child. Or encourage them to do so independently.

We Can Trust God

This month’s Daily Bible Reading focuses on the truth that God is perfect and can be trusted. Kids will hear how Barnabas encouraged other believers, how Paul and Silas praised God even during tough circumstances, how the Bereans searched the Scriptures for truth, and what Paul taught the Corinthians.

Kids also will hear that God gives believers abilities and unique gifts to serve Him. God wants Christians to serve Him with an attitude of love and thankfulness for the salvation He provides through Jesus Christ.

The Kids Ministry team hopes that your family will be encouraged as you learn these important truths about the
one and only God. May He strengthen your family as you study His Word together.

God is in Control

In Isaiah 46:9 God reminds the people to remember what happened long ago. He is God, and there is no other. He is God, and there is no one like Him.

This month kids will hear that God is in control. The Old Testament stories of the ten plagues, David and Goliath, Elijah and the widow, and God’s judgment of Belshazzar will help kids better understand that although there is sin and hardship, God is steadfast and unchanging. Where God is, there is peace. This is an amazing part of God’s character.

As you learn more about the character of God with this month’s Daily Bible Reading, the Kids Ministry team prays that your children will develop a desire to respond to Him. God is worthy of worship. He deserves respect, obedience, and honor.
