February DBR

Daily Bible Reading (DBR) prepares 1st-5th Graders for what they will learn on Sunday. Your child will discover new and amazing things about God, Jesus and the Bible! Encourage your child to have a journal and write what they learn each day. Set a goal to spend time daily reading the Bible and praying with your child. Or encourage them to do so independently.

What Does The Church Do?

In this month’s Daily Bible Reading, kids will hear about God’s intentional plan for His church.

In both the Old and New Testaments, God’s people are called to worship Him and give Him glory. From the Old Testament kids will hear how Solomon obeyed God’s detailed instructions and built the temple. Then from the New Testament, kids will discover how the early church needed and appointed helpers. Kids also will learn about two ordinances of the church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Help your child understand baptism is an outward symbol
that a believer has trusted Jesus as Savior and Lord. Emphasize that believers participate in the Lord’s Supper
to remember what Jesus did when He died on the cross for their sins.

As you learn together about baptism and the Lord’s Supper, your child might have questions about trusting Jesus as Savior and Lord. Follow the direction of the Holy Spirit and gently answer his/her questions. Offer to talk more about God’s love for them and the grace He offers through Jesus.

Once your child has made the decision to follow Jesus and asks Him to be their Lord and Savior, contact your Kids Ministry Office to schedule a decision counsel. Together we will make sure your child understands the decision to follow Jesus and the meaning of baptism. At the end of the meeting you will receive instructions to schedule baptism.

PSC Final Note – 1.20.2021

January 20, 2021

We, the Pastor Search Committee, want to express our deep gratitude to you, the members of CFBC. First, for allowing us to serve God in this way and second, for your continued intercession for us during the last 12+ months as we sought direction from God the Father for our new Senior Pastor.  It was always a comfort to know that so many were in the search with us through your prayers.  In the end, it is God alone, who deserves all the glory for bringing Dr. Jarrett Stephens and family to us.  There are too many details that were beyond anyone’s control except for God, and we believe it was because of the prayers of His people that He revealed those to us.  We were thrilled to be a part of the process and to see your overwhelming support for God’s man.  We are so excited for the future and join you in continued prayers that God blesses Champion Forest Baptist Church, Pastor Jarrett, Debbie, Riley, Kelsey, Cameron, Landry, and our incredible staff.

“How, can I say thanks, for the things you have done for me. Things, so undeserved, yet you gave to prove your love for me.  The voices of a million angels, could not express my gratitude.  All that I have and ever hope to be, I owe it all to thee……To God be the glory, to God be the Glory, to God be the Glory, for the things He has done.  With His blood, He has saved me, With His power, He has raised me. To God be the glory for the things he has done. Just let me live my life and let it be pleasing, Lord to Thee and should I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary. With His blood, He has saved me With His power, He has raised me. To God be the glory for the things he has done.   — Andrae Crouch

Thank you!
