Priscilla and Aquila
Parents, today your child learned that families can worship and tell about God. Priscilla and Aquila learned more about Jesus from Paul. They passed on that knowledge to Apollos and others. How does your family worship God? Involve your child in planning a family worship time at home. Let him take the lead in choosing songs and other ways to worship God as a family.
Use these simple steps to guide your family during today’s Life Group time.
Step 1: Print Activity Pages
Print one for each child. This is a great tool to have as you go through the videos. Each download includes the Activity Page for your child and a One Conversation page for you to use with the Bible reference and story.
Before you press play, sit together and pray. Thank God for this special day to worship and learn about Him. Then, watch the Bible story video together.

Instruct your child to glue the envelope to the blue paper with the open side up, and the flap opened to the top of the paper (it should look like the shape of a house or church building).
Guide your child to write the Weekly Verse on the paper (Joshua 24:15, My family will worship God).
Encourage your child to decorate his/her church shape.
Give your child several craft sticks. Invite him/her to decorate the craft sticks to look like members of your family. Place the completed craft sticks inside the envelope.
Say the Life Point, “Families can worship and tell about God.” Discuss that going to church together is one way a family can worship God. Ask your child to think of people he/she can tell about God. Pray for those people together.

Thanksgiving is less than a week away and we’d like to say how thankful we are for YOU! We are so thankful that we get to gather together and see your families every week (online or in person). YOU are very special to us!
We pray your week will be filled with thankfulness, hugs, giggles, and special moments with family and friends. Use some of the activities below to make Thanksgiving memories this year.
Alphabet Thanks // Work together as a family to name something you are thankful for that starts with each letter of the alphabet.
Nighttime Thanks // Snuggle up outside in a blanket with a flashlight. Point the flashlight to things you see. Thank God for all you see in the dark.
Guessing Thanks // Take turns describing what you’re thankful for without saying the actual word. Can your family guess your thankful thought?
Acting Thanks // Each family member takes a turn acting out things they are thankful for (without making a sound) while others try to guess.
We love you & are for you!
Happy Thanksgiving, Stephanie & Becky

Mary, Martha, and Lazarus (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
Today Kindergarteners and 1st-5th Graders learned that families can trust Jesus together. Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were friends of Jesus. Mary and Martha showed they knew Jesus was God’s Son by trusting Him to raise Lazarus from the dead. If your child has not made the decision to follow Christ, share with her the plan of salvation. Explain to them that your job is to tell her about Jesus and His love, but she must make the decision to become a Christian
Jesus Visited Mary and Martha (Birth-PreK)
Families can show love for Jesus. Think about ways your family shows love for Jesus. Maybe you regularly read the Bible together. Perhaps you take food to local charities or support other caring ministries in your church or community. Families show love for Jesus by helping other families know about Jesus. Talk with your family members and choose another family to invite to church or to spend time with and talk about Jesus.
Use these simple steps to guide your family during today’s Life Group time.
Step 1: Print Activity Pages
Print one for each child. This is a great tool to have as you go through the videos. Each download includes the Activity Page for your child and a One Conversation page for you to use with the Bible reference and story.

Review the Weekly Verse together (“Jesus, I know You are the Son of God.” John 11:27

What is the woman’s/women’s name?
What happened to her?
How did she respond?
How was God involved?

Have your child look up Roman 12:10 and read aloud.
Then have child/children stack cups in a pyramid in correct verse order. See if they can complete the task from memory, without using their Bibles
Remind your children that families can trust Jesus together but each person must decide for himself to trust Jesus as their Savior.

Ask kids what their favorite chores are.
After everyone has had a turn, gather kids in the middle of the room.

Pick up all the dirty clothes or put away clean clothes

Review Questions: What was the name of Ruth’s mother-in-law? (Naomi)
What sad things happened to Naomi and Ruth? (Their husbands died.)
How did Ruth provide food for herself and Naomi in Bethlehem? (She gathered grain left in the field by the workers.)
Why was Boaz so kind to Ruth? (He knew she took good care of Naomi)
What did Boaz do to make Ruth’s work easier? (He told workers to leave extra grain for her)
Why was Naomi glad to hear that Boaz was kind to Ruth? (He was a relative and could take care of them)
Name 2 words that describe Ruth’s attitude to Naomi. (answer will vary)
Name 2 words that describe Ruth’s attitude to Boaz. (answer will vary)
Why was the story of Ruth and Boaz so important? (they were the great-grandparents of King David and ancestors of Jesus)
After the child answers correctly, they will toss the sandal to someone else to answer another question.
If the child does not know the answer, encourage him to ask a friend for help.
Feel free to use review questions from previous weeks (Paul Wrote about families & Baby Moses)
What’d Jesus Ever Do for me? Supplies: strip of paper Ask kids if we should only love and help people who have already loved and helped us?
Have them name some important things that Jesus has done and continues to do for us?
Let kids know that Jesus has done so much for us. We can honor Him by loving and serving others.
Give each kid 2 of strips of paper. Have them write a family member’s name on each of their cards. (Leaders may have to help younger ones write on their paper)
Pick up all the strips of paper and randomly pick a name.
Have the child who wrote the name- tell the class the best thing “that family member” ever did for them. If time allows- you can ask them to name a way they will show love and help “that family member” this month.
Show “Freddy’s Story” missions video, or review the missions story.
Share the meaning of a testimony. (when someone tells about his experience or about something he has seen or heard)
Explain that Freddy learned the difference between telling a story about Jesus and telling his own story about how he trusted Jesus as his Savior. When Freddy shares what God has done in his life, he is sharing his testimony.
Pray and thank God for Christians in Peru who tell their testimonies so that others will know about Jesus and how much He loves them
