Saturday, August 7 - Sunday, August 8
If your life has been impacted by Champion Forest Baptist Church at any level over the past 50+ years, we invite you to join us for this special weekend.
People from far and wide will “come home” and celebrate the faithfulness of God at Champion Forest.
You are a special part of this faith family’s history. You don’t want to miss this important weekend! Sunday morning, we’ll honor Damon and Jackie Shook’s legacy and even have the entire Shook family with us for our service. It’s going to be an unforgettable day.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 7
- 6:30pm – Celebration Program – Worship Center (Champions Campus)
- 8:00pm – Reception – Family Life Center (Champions Campus)
SUNDAY, AUGUST 8
- 10:00am – Worship at Each Campus (Some moments will be streamed from the Champions Campus to other Campuses.)
Should I go to BOTH events?
YES! The Saturday night program will feature a homecoming choir, orchestra, former and current staff members, your favorite songs through the years, and will feel like a holy family reunion. Especially if you’ve been at CFBC for a number of years, you’ve simply GOT to be there Saturday night.
The Sunday morning worship service is a separate experience, where we’ll watch an inspiring video of our history, honor pastors from our past, pray and worship God for all he’s done through our history, and look expectantly toward the future. It will be an unforgettable moment in our history. Don’t miss it!
Is the Regular Sunday Schedule Different on August 8th?
YES! There are no Adult or Student Life Groups that day, and we will have ONE English Service at 10:00am. Each Campus will start at 10:00am so we can stream some important moments from the Champions Campus.
What Can I Do to Help?
Please think about anyone you know that you’d like to see at Homecoming, and personally reach out and invite them.
What about my kids?
On Saturday, there is no separate kids programming, but feel free to bring them with you into the Worship Center.
On Sunday, we do have full-on kids programming for birth – 5th grade. They’ll have cupcakes and celebrate CFBC turning 50 in the kids building. Be sure to check them in at the Kids Building with plenty of time to get a seat by 10am in the Worship Center.
We’ve also set up a Facebook Group. Come enjoy some reminiscing and nostalgia with us! (Must have a Facebook Account to join)
BONUS: Check out some historic videos to help get you in the reminiscent spirit.
