{"id":570,"date":"2020-05-07T00:10:00","date_gmt":"2020-05-07T05:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.championforest.org\/devotionals\/?p=570"},"modified":"2020-04-27T12:54:27","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T17:54:27","slug":"may-7-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.championforest.org\/devotionals\/may-7-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"RHYTHM: DAY 18"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>May 7, 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a wonderful Psalm of praise &amp; is a great\nexample of how much God loves us &amp; how he will rescue us as we cry out to\nHim! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are encouraged to give praise and thanksgiving to\nGod no matter our circumstances. We are all facing difficult times, so I wonder\nas you made it through your day\nyesterday, if God\u2019s praise was continually on your lips?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With so many distractions\naround us, praising God is often the last thing we think about.&nbsp;&nbsp;Life\nis hard\u2026and sometimes scary.&nbsp;That\u2019s why the last verse in this passage is\nhelpful.&nbsp;The world we live in will try to get you to look everywhere else\nexcept to Him, but no matter what you are facing right now, seek the Lord and\nHe will answer and deliver you from all your fears!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vs 17 says, \u201cWhen the\nrighteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their\ntroubles.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;Call out to Him, bless Him, and make it a point today to\nallow HIS praise to be continually in your mouth! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-container ugb-container ugb-9110f15 ugb-container--v2 ugb-container--design-basic ugb-main-block\" id=\"\"><style>.ugb-9110f15-wrapper.ugb-container__wrapper{border-radius:12px !important;background-color:#f1f1f1 !important}.ugb-9110f15-content-wrapper.ugb-container__content-wrapper{width:100% class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taste and See That the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;Is Good<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Of David, when he\u00a0changed his behavior before\u00a0Abimelech, so that he drove him out, and he went away.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>1\u00a0I will bless the\u00a0Lord\u00a0at all times;<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0his praise shall continually be in my mouth.<br><sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>My soul\u00a0makes its boast in the\u00a0Lord;<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0let the humble hear and\u00a0be glad.<br><sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>Oh,\u00a0magnify the\u00a0Lord\u00a0with me,<br>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0and let us exalt his name together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>I&nbsp;sought the&nbsp;Lord, and he answered me<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and delivered me from all my fears.<br><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>Those who look to him are&nbsp;radiant,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and their faces shall never be ashamed.<br><sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>This poor man cried, and the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;heard him<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and&nbsp;saved him out of all his troubles.<br><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>The angel of the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;encamps<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;around those who fear him, and delivers them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>Oh,&nbsp;taste and see that&nbsp;the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;is good!<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!<br><sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>Oh, fear the&nbsp;Lord, you his saints,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for those who fear him have no lack!<br><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>The young lions suffer want and hunger;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;but those who&nbsp;seek the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;lack no good thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>Come, O children, listen to me;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I will teach you the fear of the&nbsp;Lord.<br><sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>What man is there who desires life<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and loves many days, that he may&nbsp;see good?<br><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Keep your tongue from evil<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and your lips from&nbsp;speaking deceit.<br><sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>Turn away from evil and do good;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;seek peace and&nbsp;pursue it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>The eyes of the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;are toward the righteous<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and his ears toward their cry.<br><sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>The face of the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;is against those who do evil,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to&nbsp;cut off the memory of them from the earth.<br><sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>When the righteous cry for help, the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;hears<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and delivers them out of all their troubles.<br><sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;is near to&nbsp;the brokenhearted<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and saves&nbsp;the crushed in spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup>Many are the afflictions of the righteous,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;but the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;delivers him out of them all.<br><sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>He keeps all his bones;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;not one of them is broken.<br><sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>Affliction will slay the wicked,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.<br><sup>22&nbsp;<\/sup>The&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;redeems the life of his servants;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;none of
