It is an honest call for help that expresses urgency and expectation. The psalmist praises God for<strong> loving what is right<\/strong> and <strong>hating what is evil<\/strong>. A Psalm of David.<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>1&nbsp;Give ear to my words, O&nbsp;Lord;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;consider my&nbsp;groaning.<br><sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>Give attention to the sound of my cry,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;my&nbsp;King and my God,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for&nbsp;to you do I pray.<br><sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>O&nbsp;Lord, in&nbsp;the morning you hear my voice;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you&nbsp;and&nbsp;watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;evil may not dwell with you.<br><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>The&nbsp;boastful shall not&nbsp;stand before your eyes;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;you&nbsp;hate all evildoers.<br><sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>You destroy those who speak&nbsp;lies;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;the&nbsp;Lord&nbsp;abhors&nbsp;the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;will enter your house.<br>I will&nbsp;bow down&nbsp;toward your&nbsp;holy temple<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;in the fear of you.<br><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>Lead me, O&nbsp;Lord, in your righteousness<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;because of my enemies;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;make your way straight before me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>For there is no truth in their mouth;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;their inmost self is&nbsp;destruction;<br>their throat is&nbsp;an open grave;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;they&nbsp;flatter with their tongue.<br><sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>Make them bear their guilt, O God;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;let them&nbsp;fall by their own counsels;<br>because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for they have rebelled against you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>But let all who&nbsp;take refuge in you&nbsp;rejoice;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;let them ever sing for joy,<br>and spread your protection over them,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;that those who love your name may&nbsp;exult in you.<br><sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>For you&nbsp;bless the righteous, O&nbsp;Lord;<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;you&nbsp;cover him with favor as with&nbsp;a shield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"background-color:#ededed\" class=\"has-background\">The Holy Bible, English Standard Version\u00ae (ESV\u00ae), copyright \u00a9 2001 by Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-divider ugb-divider ugb-2782fba ugb-divider--v2 ugb-divider--design-basic ugb-main-block\" id=\"\"><style>.ugb-2782fba hr.ugb-divider__hr{background-color:#dddddd !important;height:1px !important;width:50% !important;margin-left:auto !important;margin-right:auto !important}.ugb-2782fba .ugb-inner-block{text-align:center}<\/style><div class=\"ugb-inner-block\"><div class=\"ugb-block-content\"><hr class=\"ugb-divider__hr\"\/><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prayer<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Father,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">I am desperately crying out to you.
