God bless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-container ugb-container ugb-01d158d ugb-container--v2 ugb-container--design-basic ugb-main-block\"><style>.ugb-01d158d-wrapper.ugb-container__wrapper{border-radius:12px !important;background-color:#f1f1f1 !important}.ugb-01d158d-wrapper.ugb-container__wrapper:before{background-color:#f1f1f1 !important}.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h1,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h2,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h3,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h4,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h5,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > h6{color:#222222}.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > p,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > ol li,.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper > ul li{color:#222222}@media screen and (min-width:768px){.ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper.ugb-container__content-wrapper{width:100% !important}}<\/style><div class=\"ugb-inner-block\"><div class=\"ugb-block-content\"><div class=\"ugb-container__wrapper ugb-01d158d-wrapper ugb--shadow-3\"><div class=\"ugb-container__side\"><div class=\"ugb-container__content-wrapper ugb-01d158d-content-wrapper\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">John 4:1-42<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Jesus and the Woman of Samaria<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4&nbsp;<\/strong>Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and&nbsp;baptizing more disciples than John&nbsp;<sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>(although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples),&nbsp;<sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>he left Judea and departed&nbsp;again for Galilee.&nbsp;<sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>And he had to pass through Samaria.&nbsp;<sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>So he came to a town of Samaria called Sychar, near the field&nbsp;that Jacob had given to his son Joseph.&nbsp;<sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>Jacob&#8217;s well was there; so Jesus,&nbsp;wearied as he was from his journey, was sitting beside the well. It was about the sixth hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>A woman from Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cGive me a drink.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>(For his disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.)&nbsp;<sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>The Samaritan woman said to him, \u201cHow is it that you, a Jew, ask for a drink from me, a woman of Samaria?\u201d (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)&nbsp;<sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus answered her,&nbsp;\u201cIf you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, \u2018Give me a drink,\u2019 you would have asked him, and he would have given you&nbsp;living water.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>The woman said to him, \u201cSir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water?&nbsp;<sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>Are you greater than our father Jacob?&nbsp;He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his sons and his livestock.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cEveryone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,&nbsp;<sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>but&nbsp;whoever drinks of the water that I will give him&nbsp;will never be thirsty again.&nbsp;The water that I will give him will become&nbsp;in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>The woman said to him, \u201cSir,&nbsp;give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cGo,&nbsp;call your husband, and come here.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>The woman answered him, \u201cI have no husband.\u201d Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cYou are right in saying, \u2018I have no husband\u2019;&nbsp;<sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>for you have had five husbands, and the one you now have is not your husband. What you have said is true.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup>The woman said to him, \u201cSir, I perceive that&nbsp;you are&nbsp;a prophet.&nbsp;<sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>Our fathers worshiped on&nbsp;this mountain, but you say that&nbsp;in Jerusalem is&nbsp;the place where people ought to worship.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>21&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cWoman, believe me,&nbsp;the hour is coming when&nbsp;neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father.&nbsp;<sup>22&nbsp;<\/sup>You worship what you do not know;&nbsp;we worship what we know, for&nbsp;salvation is&nbsp;from the Jews.&nbsp;<sup>23&nbsp;<\/sup>But&nbsp;the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father&nbsp;in spirit and&nbsp;truth, for the Father&nbsp;is seeking such people to worship him.&nbsp;<sup>24&nbsp;<\/sup>God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>25&nbsp;<\/sup>The woman said to him, \u201cI know that&nbsp;Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes,&nbsp;he will tell us all things.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>26&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said to her,&nbsp;\u201cI who speak to you am he.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>27&nbsp;<\/sup>Just then&nbsp;his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, \u201cWhat do you seek?\u201d or, \u201cWhy are you talking with her?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>28&nbsp;<\/sup>So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people,&nbsp;<sup>29&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cCome, see a man&nbsp;who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>30&nbsp;<\/sup>They went out of the town and were coming to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>31&nbsp;<\/sup>Meanwhile the disciples were urging him, saying,&nbsp;\u201cRabbi, eat.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>32&nbsp;<\/sup>But he said to them,&nbsp;\u201cI have food to eat that you do not know about.\u201d&nbsp;<sup>33&nbsp;<\/sup>So the disciples said to one another,&nbsp;\u201cHas anyone brought him something to eat?\u201d&nbsp;<sup>34&nbsp;<\/sup>Jesus said to them,&nbsp;\u201cMy food is&nbsp;to do the will of him who sent me and&nbsp;to accomplish his work.&nbsp;<sup>35&nbsp;<\/sup>Do you not say, \u2018There are yet four months, then comes the harvest\u2019? Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that&nbsp;the fields are white for harvest.&nbsp;<sup>36&nbsp;<\/sup>Already&nbsp;the one who reaps is receiving wages and gathering fruit for eternal life, so that&nbsp;sower and&nbsp;reaper&nbsp;may rejoice together.&nbsp;<sup>37&nbsp;<\/sup>For here the saying holds true,&nbsp;\u2018One sows and another reaps.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>38&nbsp;<\/sup>I sent you to reap&nbsp;that for which you did not labor.
