Then he took him and healed him and sent him away.\u00a0<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>And he said to them,\u00a0\u201cWhich of you, having a son\u00a0or an ox that has fallen into a well on a Sabbath day, will not immediately pull him out?\u201d\u00a0<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>And they could not reply to these things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Wedding Feast<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed&nbsp;how they chose the places of honor, saying to them,&nbsp;<sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cWhen you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited by him,&nbsp;<sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>and he who invited you both will come and say to you, \u2018Give your place to this person,\u2019 and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place.&nbsp;<sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place,&nbsp;so that when your host comes he may say to you, \u2018Friend, move up higher.\u2019 Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you.&nbsp;<sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>For&nbsp;everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Great Banquet<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>He said also to the man who had invited him,\u00a0\u201cWhen you give\u00a0a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers\u00a0or your relatives or rich neighbors,\u00a0lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.\u00a0<sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>But when you give a feast,\u00a0invite\u00a0the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind,\u00a0<sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. For you will be repaid\u00a0at\u00a0the resurrection of the just.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>When one of those who reclined at table with him heard these things, he said to him,\u00a0\u201cBlessed is everyone who will\u00a0eat bread in the kingdom of God!\u201d\u00a0<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>But he said to him,\u00a0\u201cA man once\u00a0gave a great banquet and invited many.\u00a0<sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>And at the time for the banquet he\u00a0sent his servant\u00a0to say to those who had been invited, \u2018Come, for everything is now ready.\u2019\u00a0<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, \u2018I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.\u2019\u00a0<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>And another said, \u2018I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them. Please have me excused.\u2019\u00a0<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>And another said,\u00a0\u2018I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.\u2019\u00a0<sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>So the servant came and reported these things to his master.
