And no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain,\u00a0<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>for he had often been bound with shackles and chains, but he wrenched the chains apart, and he broke the shackles in pieces. No one had the strength to subdue him.\u00a0<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>Night and day among the tombs and on the mountains he was always crying out and cutting himself with stones.\u00a0<sup>6\u00a0<\/sup>And when he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and\u00a0fell down before him.\u00a0<sup>7\u00a0<\/sup>And\u00a0crying out with a loud voice, he said, \u201cWhat have you to do with me, Jesus,\u00a0Son of\u00a0the Most High God?\u00a0I adjure you by God, do not torment me.\u201d\u00a0<sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>For he was saying to him,\u00a0\u201cCome out of the man, you unclean spirit!\u201d\u00a0<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>And Jesus asked him,\u00a0\u201cWhat is your name?\u201d\u00a0He replied, \u201cMy name is\u00a0Legion, for we are many.\u201d\u00a0<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>And he begged him earnestly not to send them out of the country.\u00a0<sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>Now a great herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside,\u00a0<sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>and they begged him, saying, \u201cSend us to the pigs; let us enter them.\u201d\u00a0<sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>So he gave them permission. And the unclean spirits came out and entered the pigs; and the herd, numbering about two thousand, rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned in the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>The herdsmen fled and told it in the city and in the country.
