{"id":1552,"date":"2021-03-10T00:15:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-10T06:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.championforest.org\/devotionals\/?p=1552"},"modified":"2021-03-02T09:20:16","modified_gmt":"2021-03-02T15:20:16","slug":"3-10-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.championforest.org\/devotionals\/3-10-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Essential 100-Day 60"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-container ugb-container ugb-4977b3f ugb-container--v2 ugb-container--design-basic ugb-main-block\"><style>.ugb-4977b3f-wrapper.ugb-container__wrapper{border-radius:12px !important;background-color:#f1f1f1 !important}.ugb-4977b3f-wrapper.ugb-container__wrapper:before{background-color:#f1f1f1 !important}.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h1,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h2,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h3,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h4,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h5,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > h6{color:#222222}.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > p,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > ol li,.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper > ul li{color:#222222}@media screen and (min-width:768px){.ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper.ugb-container__content-wrapper{width:100% !important}}<\/style><div class=\"ugb-inner-block\"><div class=\"ugb-block-content\"><div class=\"ugb-container__wrapper ugb-4977b3f-wrapper ugb--shadow-3\"><div class=\"ugb-container__side\"><div class=\"ugb-container__content-wrapper ugb-4977b3f-content-wrapper\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Luke 15:1-32<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Lost Sheep<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1\u00a0<\/strong>Now\u00a0the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him.\u00a0<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>And the Pharisees and the scribes\u00a0grumbled, saying,\u00a0\u201cThis man receives sinners and\u00a0eats with them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>So he told them this parable:&nbsp;<sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cWhat man of you, having a hundred sheep,&nbsp;if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine&nbsp;in the open country, and&nbsp;go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?&nbsp;<sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>And when he has found it,&nbsp;he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.&nbsp;<sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, \u2018Rejoice with me, for&nbsp;I have found my sheep that was lost.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who&nbsp;repents than over ninety-nine&nbsp;righteous persons who need no repentance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Lost Coin<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>8\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cOr what woman, having ten silver coins,\u00a0if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it?\u00a0<sup>9\u00a0<\/sup>And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, \u2018Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.\u2019\u00a0<sup>10\u00a0<\/sup>Just so, I tell you, there is joy before\u00a0the angels of God over one sinner who repents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Parable of the Prodigal Son<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>11\u00a0<\/sup>And he said,\u00a0\u201cThere was a man who had two sons.\u00a0<sup>12\u00a0<\/sup>And the younger of them said to his father, \u2018Father, give me\u00a0the share of property that is coming to me.\u2019 And he divided\u00a0his property between them.\u00a0<sup>13\u00a0<\/sup>Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in\u00a0reckless living.\u00a0<sup>14\u00a0<\/sup>And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need.\u00a0<sup>15\u00a0<\/sup>So he went and hired himself out to\u00a0one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs.\u00a0<sup>16\u00a0<\/sup>And he\u00a0was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>17\u00a0<\/sup>\u201cBut\u00a0when he\u00a0came to himself, he said, \u2018How many of my father&#8217;s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!\u00a0<sup>18\u00a0<\/sup>I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, \u201cFather,\u00a0I have sinned against\u00a0heaven and before you.\u00a0<sup>19\u00a0<\/sup>I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.\u201d\u2019\u00a0<sup>20\u00a0<\/sup>And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and\u00a0ran and\u00a0embraced him and\u00a0kissed him.\u00a0<sup>21\u00a0<\/sup>And the son said to him, \u2018Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you.\u00a0I am no longer worthy to be called your son.\u2019\u00a0<sup>22\u00a0<\/sup>But the father said to his servants,\u00a0\u2018Bring quickly\u00a0the best robe, and put it on him, and put\u00a0a ring on his hand, and\u00a0shoes on his feet.\u00a0<sup>23\u00a0<\/sup>And bring\u00a0the fattened calf and kill it, and\u00a0let us eat and celebrate.\u00a0<sup>24\u00a0<\/sup>For this my son\u00a0was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.\u2019 And they began to celebrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>25&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cNow his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.&nbsp;<sup>26&nbsp;<\/sup>And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.&nbsp;<sup>27&nbsp;<\/sup>And he said to him, \u2018Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.\u2019&nbsp;<sup>28&nbsp;<\/sup>But he was angry and refused to go in.
