During our devotional time, I shared a message on how to move from insecurity to security.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We all face insecurities in one form or another, and I encouraged our team to take a deeper look at what these insecurities are, how they show up in our daily lives, and how we can find true confidence in Christ.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-18b7d010\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Signs of Insecurity<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We began by walking through several common signs of insecurity, things many of us can relate to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performance-Based Identity: Tying our worth to success or failure (Galatians 1:10). Our value doesn&#8217;t change based on outcomes; our value is rooted in Christ.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fragile Ego:<strong> <\/strong>Becoming defensive when corrected, instead of receiving feedback as an opportunity to grow (Proverbs 12:1).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chronic Comparison: Measuring ourselves against others, which leaves us exhausted (Philippians 4:11-12).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approval Addiction: Seeking constant reassurance, rather than resting in who God says we are <strong>(<\/strong>Romans 8:16-17).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fear-Driven Choices: Controlling or withdrawing due to fear.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shame Narratives: Believing the lie that &#8220;I&#8217;m not enough,&#8221; when God says His grace is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:9).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-7d54f098\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">How We Grow Secure<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news is that insecurity doesn&#8217;t have the final word. There are both practical and spiritual principles we can practice to grow in true security:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect to Safe People: Growth happens in community, not isolation (Hebrews 10:24-25).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grace + Truth = Growth: Grace says, <em>&#8220;You are loved as you are&#8221;<\/em> (Romans 5:8). Truth says, <em>&#8220;There&#8217;s still room to grow&#8221;<\/em> (Ephesians 4:15). Both are essential.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build Competence: Confidence grows through practice and perseverance (Hebrews 12:11).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Challenge the Lies: Replace false beliefs with grounded truths from Scripture (Romans 12:2).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Boundaries: Guard your heart against people-pleasing (Proverbs 4:23; Galatians 1:10).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Root Identity in the Unshakeable: God&#8217;s love is unchanging (Romans 8:38-39). Our identity is not tied to performance but to Christ (Colossians 3:3).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-be88abee\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Daily Practices to Heal Insecurity<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Simple daily rhythms can help us move from insecurity to security:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Name It: Notice insecurity in action, confess it, and release it (1 John 1:9).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Truth Statements: Replace lies with affirmations of God&#8217;s truth (Philippians 4:8).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relational Check-In: Spend time with safe people who encourage you<strong> <\/strong>(Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stretch Zone: Take one small risk daily to grow beyond your comfort zone.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gratitude Inventory: Write down three things you&#8217;re thankful for each day<strong> <\/strong>(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-95f5c973\"><h3 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Reflection Questions<\/h3><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Which signs of insecurity do you most recognize in yourself?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How has insecurity affected your relationships, work, or faith?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who are the safe people in your life?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What false belief do you repeat, and what truth can replace it?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where do you need to stop people-pleasing or overextending?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which daily practice will you begin this week?&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For Christians: How does God&#8217;s love give us security?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>BOTTOM LINE: <\/em><\/strong><em>Security isn&#8217;t the absence of weakness.
