The Gathering Place at CFBC

4th Monday of each month

WHAT is “The Gathering Place”?

This is a monthly event from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for loved ones who have memory loss issues to come and enjoy crafts, games, appropriate exercises, entertainment, lunch and bingo.

It is designed for the person who cares for their loved one who has memory loss issues to drop off their loved one and have time to do errands while their loved one is entertained and engaged in activities with others with similar issues.

WHAT would I do as a volunteer?

Volunteers are assigned to sit with one person being dropped off, along with other volunteers, and assist them with the crafts, encourage them during the games and exercises, show them to the bathroom and make sure they get there and back safely, and enjoy the entertainment, bingo, and lunch with them.

WHY should I volunteer?

You will be helping two people – the care giver who can have some time to themselves and the person with memory loss who can enjoy group activities they otherwise don’t have.

Your commitment is only ONCE A MONTH, only for 3 HOURS, and you will be entertained, fed, and most of all you will be BLESSED while blessing others!
