Hurricane Florence Relief

September 19, 2018

Our hearts go out to the homes and families affected by Hurricane Florence. As Houstonians, we feel the pain of their experience in a unique way, but we also know that we are uniquely equipped by God to be among the first to respond to the crisis there. In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Champion Forest Baptist Church was on the front lines of relief, and now we invite you to join us again as we respond to the needs on the East Coast. There are several ways that you can partner with us in this effort:

PRAY
Please pray for the families living in the impacted areas. Pray for their safety as they face living in what is now a disaster area. Pray for their hearts, that the Spirit of God would provide encouragement. Pray for their churches, that our brothers and sisters in the area would be raised up and ready to put hands, feet and words to the love of God.

GIVE
You can make a lasting impact by giving to one of these organizations that we partner with.

GO
An initial team traveled to North Carolina last week to make contacts and determine where to provide the most help and resources. We will be posting dates soon for opportunities to join a CFBC team for a 5-7 day trip. If you would be able to serve on a long(er) term team, we are working with the SBTC who will be taking 12 day trips into the impacted areas serving through mud-outs and meals. You can see more of what the SBTC does here, http://sbtexas.com/evangelism/disaster-relief/ministry-areas/
