True North Outfitters

We had a great time and opportunity at April's Base Camp with Paul Ferrell. He works for the National Wild Turkey Federation which does some great work for hunters and outdoors lovers. After a brief description of his work starting chapters he got down to some turkey hunting. He's already killed 4 this season and hunted in several states. Paul showed us many different types of calls and how to use them. Everyone present received a mouth call and tried them out (I think the turkeys got a little scared). I was impressed with his turkey gobble that he did using only his mouth!

All in all it was another great night meeting new outdoorsmen and talking about the things we love to chase.

NEXT MONTH come find out more about Kayaking and fishing, May 15!

We have a night of deception and mimicry for all of you outdoorsmen. At our Base Camp we will be talking turkey hunting. Don't miss this one if you love getting out in the woods, hiding in the trees and pretending to be a lonesome hen...See you at 7pm in the Student Building!

It is spring time and to the outdoorsman this is one of those seasons with lots of options. This month is big bass time with the spawn in full swing but there are different patterns for different circumstances depending on so many factors. On March 27th we'll have guide John Schweitzer from Fayette County Lake here talking about this great fishing lake and how catch fish on most days. Join us at 7pm in the Student Building.
