Needed: Chain saws, rakes, brooms, shovels.

Children 12 and older can help.

Southeast Texas

  • Working in disaster relief teams in Southeast Texas (Bridge City, Vidor, Orange).
  • Top Priority – Mud-out crews.
  • Physically demanding.
  • Volunteers need boots, square shovels and long brooms.
  • Golden Triangle Baptist Association can provide food and housing accommodations for volunteers.

  • We will be assembling teams from Champion Forest Baptist Church.

Opportunities for Individuals

  • Volunteers coordinated through Christ in Action.
  • Volunteers must register directly with Christ in Action.

Catholic Charities

  • 3 POD sites in Galveston, Open M-Sat. from noon-5pm.
  • 6-10 volunteers needed daily. Ages 14 yrs. and older are welcome.
  • These sites will most likely be operating for the next 6 months.
  • Distributing food, ice and water.
