A Note from a Soldier...

Your efforts make a huge difference in the lives of our brave men and women serving around the world. Take a minute to read this letter we received from one of our soldiers...

Dear Pastor David Beverly and church family,

Thank you for sending an expression of your care to Afghanistan for the United States and NATO forces during the Christmas season. I am an Air Force chaplain serving a 6-month deployment to Resolute Support HQ, Kabul, Afghanistan. This was the first Christmas in my entire military career that I've been deployed away from my wife and family. It's comforting to know that there are citizens in the United States were thinking about us and praying for us.

Although we have a small Base Exchange in the camp, the supplies are limited and it is always heartwarming and encouraging to receive gestures of love from church and organizations from the United States.

You might be pleased to know that I lead three worship services on the installation every Sunday and oversee five Bible study groups. I just started a "Navigator 2:7 Growing Strong in God's Family" group with 12 personnel participating.

May God bless you all for your kindness, thoughtfulness and prayers!
